About Us

Ballroom, reinvented

Ballroom Baby is Geelong's home for Ballroom and Latin Dance, teaching kids, teens and adults in a whole new way. We're a Registered Training Facility, so the technique's the real deal, but the energy, glamour and community around it is 100% our own.

Our Story

Ballroom Baby's been shaking up the dance floor since 2016. By 2019 we'd opened our own studio in Geelong CBD, a space built entirely for the love of ballroom. Then in 2022, we took over Beachside Ballroom in Torquay, welcoming 15 years of Surf Coast dance history (and its wonderful community) into our own.

The name says it all, really. This is ballroom for a new generation: young, fresh and full of energy. Yeah, baby.

Meet the Team

Our Classes

We teach Ballroom dancing, or Dancesport, if you're feeling fancy. Think three ways to fall in love with the floor:

Standard ballroom (Waltz, Tango, Viennese Waltz, Foxtrot and Quickstep) for the classic romantics, fiery Latin American rhythms (Samba, Cha Cha, Rumba, Paso Doble and Jive) for anyone who likes a bit of heat, and New Vogue, our personal favourite, for something a little different.

We're a Registered Training Facility with Dancesport Australia, so the technique's sound, and we run our own medal system through the Australian Dancing Society too.

This isn’t the Ballroom Dancing you’re used to. This is high energy, high glamour, Ballroom (Baby) Dancing, and we know you're going to love it.

Our Community

We're not just a dance studio, we're a whole community. There are only three rules here: work hard, have fun, and look out for each other. It's the easiest way to meet new people, build real friendships, and fall a little more in love with dance along the way.

Keep up with what's happening through our community page, home to all our events, news and more.
